Finally got the pics from Davin’s 3rd birthday up! He actually got to have 2 birthdays the same weekend! Lucky kid… someone’s definitely spoiling him treating him very well. His first day was at Chuck E Cheese’s (obviously), and the second was his real party at my mom and dad’s house.

Latest wedding

I was given the opportunity to shoot the wedding of a bride with whom I grew up. It was a beautiful wedding. It was the first wedding I’ve ever seen in person with camouflage tuxes lol. The location was the Gate House in Baton Rouge. It was beautiful. Too bad it rained almost the whole time we were there, dampening our chances of getting some planned pictures outside. We did get a few, but they were very very rushed because it would start drizzling off and on. I think the pictures came out great, and I have heard many compliments from them already. Thanks for looking!

Latest trip to the zoo!

We went to the annual Shell family day picnic at the Audubon Zoo a few weeks back. I always love going to this annual event. It has… FREE FOOD!! I love food, I love free stuff, and FREE FOOD falls under both those categories. It’s only for the families of Shell employees tho, so sorry, not everyone can come with . Well, technically you could come with, but you wouldn’t be allowed to eat the FREE FOOD!! It was a little hot but cloudy, so it wasn’t too bad.

New Orleans Saints charity softball game

Yep, I got to go to this awesome game and see the Super Bowl Champion Saints!! That still doesn’t sound right, does it? Anywho, this game was totally gnarly. Off-the-hook awesomeness. Get my point? Good, cuz I’m done describing its greatness. My boy Drew got to show his stuff. He isn’t just a great quarterback, that sucker man is just downright an athlete! I’m sure it was quite obvious to everyone that Brees played some baseball in his upcoming. There were quite a few other Saints players also that showed some skilz. Others, not so much. There must be a reason they chose to play pro football and not baseball haha. Well, it was a good time to say the least! Enjoy the pics!

Recent camping trip

We went camping a couple weeks ago at Indian Creek. I pretty much had the camera out all weekend. This trip started out very bad with a flat tire at about 1:30 in the morning. I took pictures at a wedding on Friday night. We left there and headed straight to the campground. It should have been about a 2 to 2-1/2 hour drive but thanks to the flat tire… you get the point… We finally made it there and it ended up being one of the best camping trips I’ve ever taken. Didn’t bring anything to do. All we did was fart sit around the ENTIRE day. It rocked! (And we rocked too, in rocking chairs, pun intended). I did learn quite the life lesson from that weekend after the flat tire, extremely late night changing said flat tire, and all the people that were swerving into my lanes with their vehicles… GET A ROOM! I’ll NEVER drive that late again. EVER.

Heidi Senior Pics

I got the opportunity to photograph Heidi for her senior portraits. I was sooooo incredibly happy with the way these turned out. This is really my first shoot where I used off-camera flash almost exclusively. I think there were only 2 or 3 pictures where I didn’t use off-camera flash.
